Fixing the process of "android.process.media has stopped." —

What does it mean when the 'process android process acore has stopped'? How do I fix unfortunately Download Manager has stopped? And so on.
One of my readers was asking the question about every time he boots up his phone it gives an error message "android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly." He is using the OS version 4.0.2 on his Galaxy Nexus and like him, there are many Android users who are frustrated because of this error. The process name indicates that it is related to the SD card. Since the FAT filesystem is a very old and unstable filesystem the processor kills the apps to stop further damage to your data.
This issue caused mainly because of two applications which are 'Download Manager' and the 'Media Storage'. For an Android mobile phone to work properly, all the applications on the phone should be properly synchronized with Google Servers. After the android OS gets updated, the download manager and Media Storage services can’t sync with Google Servers. And this leads to this error pop-up.
Also, there could be reasons like moving from one custom ROM to another or a failed firmware upgrade, etc. If you have faced this error recently, you don’t require to bother, this page will definitely tell what exactly triggers this error and how to fix it carefully.
