Step 1: Uninstalling Google Drive by traditional way Go to settings >> Home >> Apps & features

And you will see the list of installed apps. From the list, you can see Google Drive, click on it and do uninstall. But you may face uninstalling this program and may face an error while uninstalling it.

Step 2: Installing new Google Drive files You can download the latest Google Drive files on another computer and then do copy and paste it to the particular Google Drive folder. your system.

Once you download the files just copy & paste them on the default installation target folder: C:\program files\google\drive file stream\
[No matter which verison you are using, just copy paste the downloaded files into the root directory]

Maybe some system files can not be overwritten, it's ok with it. Just skip all those files.

Step 3: Now run the process of uninstalling Google Drive from the existing folder Once you have completed adding new Google Drive files to your system, I recommend you to run the uninstalling process first, just to make sure all the old installation files or windows registry is completely removed. So, you can install the fresh version of Google Drive without any garbage on your computer.

Follow as it is:
For this go to This PC >> Local Disk C >> Program Files >> Google >> Drive File Stream >> 48.0.13.0 folder

Then you can find the existing Google Drive files in that folder, let click on uninstall. Now your uninstalling process will get completed.

Once you have done this process, don't forget to restart your computer. Its important.

Now, you can able reinstall Google Drive app on your computer.
